The Doctor of Psychology, PsyD, Clinical Psychology is a practitioner - scholar model designed to meet professional standards of international practice in Clinical Psychology. The degree includes course work, practicum and internship supervised training, and the doctoral dissertation.
The program focuses on academics, experiential training, and research in psychology; with emphasis on assessment and treatment with individuals, couples and families; application of psychometric tests, psychological evaluations, and training in psychotherapy modalities.
Development of professional standards of practices in psychology is needed in Kenya, East Africa, and beyond. As graduates with an accredited Doctor of Psychology, PsyD, Clinical Psychology, you will be prepared to:

Duration
The full-time program duration is 3 years and 2 trimesters at 90 units.
The Doctor of Philosophy in International Relations Program at USIU - Africa is both course work intensive, research oriented, and is to be awarded on both full time and part time basis.
Upon completing coursework (except dissertation) and passing written comprehensive exams, students will be advanced to candidacy.
Program Summary
The Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in International Relations Program is a scholarly research–oriented degree that is anchored on a student-centered curriculum. The Program is both course work-intensive and research-oriented, to be awarded on both full-time and part-time basis.
The core strength of the PhD program is in three areas: peace and conflict studies, development studies, and foreign policy and diplomacy. The study curriculum entails a participatory teaching and learning approach characterized by independent research and seminar presentation, interactive classroom discussions, case studies, small group discussion, reflective diaries, portfolio development and simulations.
Faculty will use a variety of teaching and testing techniques that will encourage students to be proactive, innovative, self-directed, reflective, and able to apply what they have learned. Effective use of ICT will be made.
The PhD program is designed to prepare candidates for positions in the academia, research institutions, government, international organizations, non-governmental organizations, civil society, among others.
Duration
The full-time program is expected to be completed in a minimum of five years.
