Biography:

Angelina Nduku Kioko is a Professor of English and Linguistics. She has 31 years’ work experience in institutions of higher education institutions. This has given her a wide experience in various areas including: teaching and examining both undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate students; supervising and examining graduate research at Master’s and Doctorate levels; serving as external examiner to a wide range of universities locally, regionally and internationally; developing and evaluating curriculum locally and regionally; spearheading the establishment of quality enhancement and quality assurance systems in institutions of higher education in Kenya; and responding to local and international accrediting commissions on issues of institutional audits and quality assurance requirements. Fourteen of these years were spent at Kenyatta University- training graduate secondary school teachers of English, and the remaining 17 years at United States International University- Africa.

Her publications include: 27 books, 9 book chapters, 14 papers in refereed journals and many conference papers.

Professor Kioko has served the profession nationally and regionally in various capacities: as member of national English panel in Kenya National Examination Council; as a trainer/facilitator in language teacher
