Colloquium Speaker
Our Speaker:-

Carolyn Logan, PhD
Dr. Logan is Director of Analysis and Capacity Building for Afrobarometer and an Associate Professor in the Department of Political Science at Michigan State University. She completed her PhD in International Relations at The Fletcher School at Tufts University in 2002. While she publishes Afrobarometer findings on a wide range of topics, Dr. Logan’s particular research interests include democratization and political development in Africa, with a special focus on the role of ‘traditional’ leaders and institutions in democratization, and in ‘citizen versus subject’ attitudes among African publics. She has been published in African Affairs, Journal of Modern African Studies, Comparative Political Studies, and Journal of Democracy, among others, and has written frequent blog posts in the Washington Post’s Monkey Cage blog, The Conversation, and other outlets.
