Dr. Elizabeth Kalunda is an Associate Professor of Finance. She is seasoned in the field of Accounting and Finance both in practice and academia with numerous publications. She holds a B.Ed. (Moi University), MBA and PhD form the University of Nairobi. Professionally she is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA-K) and Certified Public Mediator (CPM). She previously worked for the Teachers Service Commission, Government Training Institute, Dedan Kimathi University of Technology, and the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK).

Dr. Kalunda's leadership extends beyond the classroom, significantly impacting the accounting and finance profession. She is a Council member and the National Vice Chair of ICPAK. A role that demonstrates her commitment to industry collaboration and professional development. Her active involvement in the Association of Women Accountants of Kenya (AWAK) reflects her dedication to empowering women in the world of accounting and finance.

Dr. Kalunda serves on a diverse range of boards, spanning private companies like Lofty Corban Investments Limited, professional organizations like the Kenya Accountants and Secretaries National Examinations Board (KASNEB), public governance bodies like the Nairobi County Audit Committee, vocational education institutions like Kasarani Technical and Vocational Centre, and two high schools. This breadth of service showcases her ability to navigate complex landscapes and make impactful decisions, qualities invaluable for any leadership role.
