Reporting to the Manager Cafeteria, the holder of this position will be responsible for Monitoring and reporting food and beverage costs and sales from all the outlets in the cafeteria.

Key Responsibilities

  • To ensure that the Food and beverage control procedures is adhered to.
  • Provision of records of food and beverage and other revenues in the cafeteria.
  • Monitor stock movement and stock rotation.
  • Provide adequate float and change to cashiers.
  • Preparing and maintaining all the records of controls.
  • Allocation of duties to the cashiers.
  • Billing of all the university catering functions.
  • Prepare regular performance reports for staff appraisal working under him or her.
  • Reconcile cafeteria accounts with the Finance Department for accountability.
  • To create, Maintain and update records of student meal cards accounts.
  • Conduct monthly stock–taking and spot check exercises of stores to prepare an appropriate report
  • Maintain a record of operating costs to ensure that they are charged to the appropriate budget line
  • Debit Notes reconciliations with Finance department
  • Daily monitoring of Food and Beverage supplies deliveries through invoice control inventory Management system.

Educational Qualifications and Professional Experience

  • Diploma /Higher Diploma in Food Science / Technology from an accredited Institution of higher learning;
  • Minimum of 3 years in a similar capacity

Reporting to the Chief Librarian, the holder of this position will be responsible for providing access to information and services to the university community in support of core learning, teaching and research activities.


Key Responsibilities

  • Charge and discharge information materials, process library penalty fees and update user records to facilitate utilization of library services and resources.
  • Provide reference information to the university community to facilitate information retrieval and access.
  • Provide library user education through library orientation and training sessions, to promote users information literacy.
  • Organize and maintain library stock to facilitate identification and retrieval of information resources
  • Training and monitoring work-study students, interns and attachment students
  • Participate in the weeding of library materials
  • Process and prepare reports of library overdue fines
  • Advice and update assistant to the deans on course material available
  • Receive, verify and physical processing of newly purchased books, journals and other library materials
  • Verify and claiming of unsupplied information resources to ensure that the university does not loose funds for unsupplied resources
  • Catalogue, classify and index information materials
  • Stock taking and reconciliation for the purpose of accurate inventory audit and valuation.
  • Biometric registration for new library users and Laptops registration to facilitate library access
  • Processing materials for binding to facilitate repairs
  • Identify, retrieve and link items on high demand from circulating / course text sections to reserve section
  • Identify, evaluate and examine audiovisual material to determine the quality of reproduction and the suitability of viewership
  • Assist with library clearances to students, staff and faculty
  • Issuing of users’ barcodes to library users to facilitate ID processing

Educational Qualifications and Professional Experience

  • Bachelors' Degree in Records & Archives Management or Bachelors' degree in Information Sciences from an accredited Institution of higher learning;
  • 3 years of relevant library experience, preferably in an academic setting
