The first time you register or use the CX system, this code, along with your student ID number will allow full access to your record, so keep it a secret! If you forget your PIN go to the Office of the University Registrar.
You may do this by going to cx.usiu.ac.ke. You'll need your student ID as your user name and your PIN, and the course and sections you want. This is possible only during the scheduled registration time.
Courses schedules for a particular semester can be obtained from the academic advisors and the USIU-Africa website.
Addresses can be changed by downloading this form filling it out and returning it to the Registrars’ office for update (Attach address update form)

Replacement ID cards can be obtained for ksh1,500 at the registrar’s office.
This is a listing of your degree requirements detailing what you have accomplished and what is yet to be accomplished. For your degree audit to be set and accessible on your student web page you must have declared your Major and Concentration/Minor. For more information visit the Registrar’s office.
This is a legal document required by the Kenyan Government to be obtained by all international students (non-Kenyans). The office of the Registrar assists in the processing of the pass. All international students applying to USIU-Africa must submit a duly filled form for the pupil’s pass, 2 passport size photographs, passport copy of the applicant, financial support letter (dully filled and signed) to be accompanied by a passport copy/national ID or any other official document of the sponsor and a bank statement for self-sponsored applicants.
You may request for replacement from the Registrar’s office. You must pay a replacement fee of Ksh.5000 or (100 dollars) before the replacement is processed.(Proof of loss must be availed e.g. police abstract) (Replacement notation will be appended) The replacement certificate will be ordered with the next batch order either in February, June or September)
You can request a letter of completion from the Office of the Registrar
Dates of commencement are available in the academic calendar.
There is a 2-3 month waiting period after commencement exercises. This enables the Office of the Registrar to post grades, order certificates and post degrees/honors. You will be contacted via your email when they are ready
  • Clear any blocks against your registration
  • Enroll in at least one course;
  • Pay your fees, either in full or enter an installment plan with finance.
  • You must be officially registered to use campus services

You must take “9” credits to be a fulltime student for undergraduates and 6 units for masters and Doctorate students. Taking fewer credits during a semester makes you a part time student.

Before making any changes to your courses, you should talk to your Academic Advisor.

  1. You can make your changes on cx.usiu.ac.ke up to two weeks after the semester begins.
  2. You can also make changes by obtaining an ADD/Drop form with the Registrar’s Office, completing the form with the courses you wish to either ADD or Drop (or both), get the instructor’s signature, get your advisor’s signature, and return the form to the Registrar’s Office. This is subject to availability of space in the chosen classes.

NOTE: The University Refund and Add/Drop Policy applies

All official transcripts must be requested in writing and must include the name and address of the student, the name and address to whom the transcript is to be sent and the signature of the student. There is a KES500 fee per transcript (excluding mailing and courier charges when needed)

NOTE: Official transcripts will not be processed if there is a HOLD on a student record for unpaid balances
