The Staff Council is the official representative of USIU-Africa staff within the university governance system. All Staff Council members are elected for a one-year term during which they contribute to matters concerned with the work, benefits and environment of the staff. They work jointly with other governance units to ensure successful growth of the university and that it stays committed to its mission statement.
Staff are a vibrant part of the USIU-Africa community. They participate in various activities on and off campus and asssit students and faculty on a wide range of issues.
The USIU-Africa staff volley ball team features strongly in the local volley ball circuit. Other activities staff have been involved in include the HIV&AIDS and VCT concert, and the Kasarani Neighbourhood Association.
Each department is represented in the Staff Council through elected representatives. At the beginning of each Council term, members of the council elect members of the executive committee which is responsible for the day to day management of the Council.
