The University Legal Counsel/Company Secretary, Ms. Helen Ambasa, has been appointed by the Board of the National Industrial Training Authority (NITA) to its Training Committee with effect from 29th July, 2016.
NITA is a State Corporation established under the Industrial Training (Amendment) Act of 2011 with a mandate to establish and maintain the highest levels of industrial training standards for all levels of manpower training, on behalf of the Government of Kenya. The Committee is an important structure of the Board as it facilitates the achievement of NITA’s objectives. The 3-year appointment is by virtue of USIU-Africa’s membership of the Federation of Kenya Employers (FKE), which nominated Ms. Ambasa to represent the organization.
